Overall I’d say this is a rental for fighter sim fans once it hits the states in July. For everyone else, you should check out any of the PS2 Ace Combat games well before you ever go near Over G.


This is the most import friendly game ever as it features a full English translation on all fronts. As long as your 360’s language is set to English you will never see a single Japanese character within the game. It makes you wonder why Taito is waiting so long to release it in the states.

The Japanese version also comes with a special DVD which features footage of the developers doing field research. They watch planes, fly planes, and get briefed by military. While this may sound cool, it’s actually really boring as there is no production value and it feels like one of the dev’s pals just came along with a handi-cam.
