While the levels are simplistic in design, the action is non-stop with constant hordes of new mobile suits or vehicles appearing in an attempt to stop Amuro in his shiny white Gundam. The whole premise of the game is to basically destroy everything in your sight while finding the pieces to put your flagship the White Base back together from pieces dropped by enemies. Asides from pieces of the ship you can also find new weapons, shields, or upgrades that boost the mobile suits stats. After gaining a certain amount of EXP you will be granted with a new Mobile Suit. Although this is where things get tedious, since to gain exp you have to gain levels in a stage, then those levels gained is converted to EXP. Thanks to that along with attempting to gain new items, the player will find themselves spending quite some time playing stages over to collect items or EXP for their character.

Overall SD Gundam Scad Hammers, is a fun action game that has simple controls which allows anyone to pick the game up and start smashing things right away. Both fans of the Gundam series and those new to the series should find this crazy game a nice addition to their Wii title library.
