SD Gundam Scud Hammers, while it has an unusual name the game play itself is rather amusing, along with its excellent comical art style. Scud Hammers is played from the isometric view, and the player will be controlling a SD or Super Deformed version of a Gundam mobile suit. As the name states the there is a giant hammer more like a morning star that Gundam uses as its main weapon throughout the game.
Now here comes the fun part. You control how the hammer is thrown by either snapping your wrist to throw the hammer forward or by a sweeping motion with the remote that becomes a swinging attack in the game with the hammer. The throwing / smashing of the hammer is useful for single targets and has a lot more power behind the attack, while the swing is useful for attacking multiple enemies. With a little practice performing the different attacks becomes second nature. Movement in the game is controlled with the nunchuk`s analogue stick. You are also able to jump and block in the game also with the trigger buttons. All of this works very well.
This game plays itself off as a parody of the original Gundam series, and does a rather good job at it too. By utilizing the SD characters and mobile suits to move the story along, accompanied by the outrageous expressions during the dialogue scenes, it makes for a very humorous experience for the player.
