With the Wii having launched here in Japan on the 2nd of December, in the mix of launch titles there was a rather pleasant surprise of a game called Swing Golf Pangya published by Tecmo. For those of you who are not familiar with this title, Pangya started out originally as an online golf game made by the Korean game studio Ntreev Soft. The concept and design of the game itself was very similar to Sony`s Minna no Golf or Hot Shots Golf (in the US), but the big diving point of the game is the fact that Panya is set in a more fantasy setting. This step away from reality gave the designers the freedom to make rather interesting courses which we will talk about later on.
In Swing Golf Pangya there are 4 different game modes to choose from. The single player story mode called “Pangya Festa”, in this mode the player picks from the male and female starting characters and advances in the Pangya story.

Trouble in paradise.
Next we have “Stroke play”, this mode and match play can be played single or multiplay. Stroke play scores the player by the total amount of strokes made during their game. In “Match play” score is determined whoever wins the most matches, and the final mode “Balloon Crash”, which is an original player vs player only mode made for the Wii, where players face off to see who can pop the most balloons.

Ready, aim, SWING!
Another cute feature in Balloon Crash is being able to draw all over the screen during your opponents turn in an attempt to ruin their shot.

Isn`t friendship a beautiful thing?
n every mode the player is able to accumulate Pang which is the games currency. Also it is said in Single player stroke / match play if you defeat all the computer opponents you will get a special reward! So be sure to try out everything if you can for the single player modes!
