After you're bored with the ridiculously lengthy single player game you can head into the battle mode where you and a friend can duke it out with characters you've unlocked in the single player game. You put together a team of a certain number of characters and then brawl in a small section of the island. It's pretty basic and kind of fun for fans but the lack of lock-on or any kind of multiplayer polish makes it kind of worthless in the end. If you're a big fan you'll want to spend endless hours unlocking all the characters and then beat your friend with teams of them but for everyone else it's pointless.


The user interface works decently well.

The graphics aren't too shabby for the Wii but hardly anything to write home about. The colors are vibrant and the character models look great. The island also looks fine but doesn't have nearly the polish that the characters do. I sound is horribly annoying at times but serves it's purpose.


All the menus are Japanese as is the story but trial and error will let you play just fine.
