Ennichi no Tatsujin Review

Fourth you have a dart game which is extremely difficult. It’s really hard to tell how hard you need to flick the dart to make it go the appropriate distance. While some may see this as a fun level of difficulty I found it to be extremely inaccurate and frustrating. The goals are neat though, as you have to hit certain colors on different size rotating wheels.

All kinds of different darts.

Fifth you have the most amazing use of the Wiimote and Nunchuk in the game and that’s to make balloon art! In DDR fashion you execute the correct balloon twisting movement with the dual controller when it passes over the corner of the assembly line. It’s a very fun game that results in some fun art.

Dance Dance Balloon Revolution.

Then you’ve got Kingyo Sukui where you try to scoop up fish with a net. This one again is incredibly inaccurate and frustrating. Even when it does work properly there’s not much to it.

Stay far away.

Seventh you’ve got a game where you make crepes. It’s incredibly simple and way too repetitive to be any fun. You basically just use the Wiimote to spread batter over a cooker the same time every time and then fill it with the fruit the customer wants.

Number eight sadly isn’t really a game. It’s just a fortune teller that requires you to rub her magic ball with your Wiimote. It’s a really boring and worthless “game.”

And last but certainly not least is the game where you beat things with a mallet. It’s unlockable and mildly worth getting.

Mallet basher 5000.

Ok so there are a few decent mini-games, a few terrible ones, and one thing that’s not even a game. The only real big problem here is that there are at least 5 menus to go through in between each difficulty level of each mini-game. For example, you’ll shoot down a couple things in the shooting gallery to complete a goal and then you’ll have to go through several menus to get back to the main game menu to select the next difficulty level. Then you’ll go through a couple more menus to finally proceed on. The game would have been a lot more enjoyable, and much shorter, if you could just go through every single difficulty in a row.

And yes even with these menu issues the game is still incredibly short and there is very little worth unlocking. Add on the fact that the graphics are really basic, the sound is sometimes annoying, and it doesn’t come with a Wiimote like Wii Play and you’ve got a Japanese launch clunker.

Import Friendly?

All the menus are in Japanese but the games are easy enough to figure out.

Pros
  • Some mildly fun mini-games
Cons
  • Some horrible mini-games
  • One isn’t even a game
  • Extremely short
  • Overpriced
