My only real gripe about this game is that the overall package doesn’t feel quite finished. The menus lack any kind of free driving scenario or time attack, all the CG videos are unlocked from the beginning, and well it just feels like they quickly slapped on the menus and setup some races. It just lacks a bit of polish, but you won’t notice this at all when actually playing. Also unfortunately it was rushed to market in Japan without online support that is supposedly coming for the US version in the spring. And last but not least I also got a bit tired of the whole desert scenario and I often wished there was more variety to the tracks. They’re quite unique and well made, it’s just once you’ve seen mud dust and dirt for the hundredth time it gets kind of old.
ATV road rage at its best.
If you’re in the market for an off-road racer the likes of which the world has never seen, then you must own this game. Remember the Playstation 3 is region free so if you can’t wait for the US release, go ahead and import this bad boy. Personally I’d rather play this through the holiday season on my shiny black PS3 brick than Resistance, the only other worthwhile game on the system. Oh and there are so many races, and some of them are so hard that it took me nearly 20 hours to finish the game entirely.
Import Friendly?
Almost all the menus and on screen text is in English. The only hiccup is if you want to change your controller configuration, as that menu is all in Japanese. Playstation 3 is region free, it will play on your Playstation 3 people!
