description
On a day that starts like any other, a young boy's life is suddenly changed forever. As the main character and his friend Miki pass a leisurely afternoon, Miki suddenly collapses from an unknown illness. The girl shows no sign of waking and this overwhelms the main character with grief and remorse for not being a better friend when he had the opportunity. Suddenly, a strange voice offers him a second chance: "Beyond the door is a chance to change your destiny!"
He soon leaves the real world and journeys to the world of Vision, where, as a novice "Traveler," he will surmount myriad ordeals in hopes of ultimately meeting with the Goddess of Destiny to have a single wish granted. He makes friends both strange and fascinating as he finds himself blossoming into a successful Traveler. His courage and resolve are tested as he and his newfound companions travel the mysterious lands of Vision. The challenges he faces are daunting, but his growing sense of self and responsibility propel him ever forward. Friendships, courage and growth will all prove indispensable as he seeks out his destiny; a life-changing adventure and the discovery of a hero inside an ordinary kid.

Brave Story: New Traveller i mostly became interested in this game because, unlike the majority of other psp role-playing games out there, it features fully-rendered graphics (instead of super-deformed sprites), which makes the world seem just that much more alive. full marks for using the hardware to it's true capabilities! the story and combat sysytem are nothing new to rpg fans, but the world includes accesory-making, numerous side-quests, as well as bird-hunting (the game's equivalent of collecting monsters, i guess), so there's lots there for any rpg-fan. most remarkable to me, the games load times are barely-noticeable, making this a perfect escapist fantasy adventure for rpg fans on the go.

The best original RPG on the PSP. Graphically this game is superb. The story while not entirely original, is entertaining and dominant through out the game.
The combat system is also very simple. There's no learning the combat system over hours and hours of game play. You get the hang of it very quickly.
The writing/script is sometimes funny and cute.
If you're a PSP owner and you love a great RPG, don't miss Brave Story: New Traveler.
