Also before every battle, you also get to select a certain number of characters from Rogers team. Known as Charismas, they kind of resemble the heroes brought into Warcraft III because each of them possess two different skills that is automatically activated on the battle field when youre in position. They can also be equipped with items that can be won as rewards or, found hidden on the map. I didnt find myself having to use them however because most of the time, attacking with the MOBs I create was enough to beat the maps.

Items? Dont really need them.
As with other RTS games, every MOB unit you create has their strength and weaknesses. For example, Heavy Armoured MOBs can deal twice the normal damage against Ground MOBs but only half against Airborne MOBs. Dont worry about memorising the cycle because the game comes with a handy help file and there are only about 4 types of MOBs.
Controls are very smooth. You can either scroll maps with the D-Pad slowly or, you can quickly tap the map icon on the screen to scroll much faster with the stylus. Maps can be very large so its a good thing they added in support for the stylus. You can select single units by tapping them with the stylus or by tapping the circle icon to draw around a group. The game actually pauses when you want to select a group so you dont have to worry about them running away behind some other unit. You can then go onto tapping the point where they have to move to and a movement path of arrows is displayed for each unit. Attacking is also just a simple select and tap away.
Unfortunately, the AI doesnt quite match up to the intuitive controls. There is some pretty bad path finding in the game. Units move along an invisible grid on each map and every time you move them, youll see the squares appearing. Very often, whether commanding a single or multiple units, I find units like to run off to the edge of the screen or take some long way round to their destination until I re-direct them.
Path finding isnt that much of an annoyance but once they reach the enemy, sometimes theyll just stand there and do nothing. This happens whenever the enemy approaches them too which can be very frustrating of course when youre playing bigger maps. The only thing you can count on is for your Charisma heroes to run back to base when their health is low. On the other hand, units do move very slowly around the map so in most cases youll have enough time to rectify any problems.

Bad AI means it can be frustrating in hectic battles like this.
Apart from the 27 chapter story mode, you can also play through over 40 different missions in free mode. The grades and stats you achieve can then be uploaded to an online ranking system via Wi-Fi to earn yourself some rare items. Its a pity you cant battle against other players this way and only in wireless link mode.
