As you would expect WW has its fair share of gear for you to equip besides the badges but, the development team has added in an interesting feature that the district of Shibuya is well known for – its fashion. You see, every clothing item you purchase (including badges) have a brand just like you would find in real life and depending on want brand your characters are wearing, your stats can end up dropping or rising. Every area you enter in Shibuya has its own branding charts. If you happen to be wearing the top branding, your attack power gets doubled while if you’re wearing a brand that’s at the bottom of the charts, your attack power is halved. Fun eh? Fortunately, rather than buying every item of clothing you can find, you can raise a brand’s ranking by taking part in lots of battles.

Think I’ll have a crepe for today. Boost those BRV stats.
Lots of RPGs won’t let you equip the next item in the shop unless you’ve acquired the right level and it’s not that different in WW. You’ll need a certain number of “Bravery” points to wear clothing items and this particular stat doesn’t increase as you level up. What you have to do is purchase food from the shops and eat them and this is another fun feature WW has.
Food items in WW are another way of boosting your stats such as “Bravery” mentioned above. However, they aren’t used in the traditional RPG way where you select an item from the menu and your character will use it on the spot. You have to actually “equip” these items and fight through a certain number of battles before they are digested. What’s more, characters can only have a certain amount of food per real time day! This means that once you’ve reached your food limit, you’ll have to wait for the next real time day before they can start eating again!
As if letting you adjust the drop rate and giving your stats an extra permanent boost with food wasn’t enough, your badges can also level up when you’re not playing the game! Brilliant news for gamers who just doesn’t like spending time grinding.

Hmmm… Can’t quite afford this Pegasus branded suit yet.
On the presentation side of things, I doubt I have to tell you how stylish SE’s game looks. It’s amazing how much detail they managed to cram in to reproduce Shibuya. Everywhere you go the streets are crowded with NPCs wearing their own style of clothing. Although changes in your equipment aren’t reflected graphically, you can see NPCs wearing the clothing items you chose as your brand ranking goes up. A very cool touch!
I myself have never been to Japan so never mind Shibuya but, it seems the game contains many of the well-known places in the district such as the Shibuya 109 building (104 in the game), the Hachikou dog statue and the Spain-Kaza. Unlike some RPGs where you buy items from the very same shop or get served by the very same NPC every time, WW has a huge selection of shops to visit and items to buy. Many you can unlock by raising the FSG (Friendship Gauge) by buying lots of items.
