So what is new, then? Well, the first thing you’ll find is that the developers have taken all the new elements they tried out in the GS1 remake bonus case over and expanded upon it. Forensic finger printing from the bonus fifth case is back where you tap the stylus to dump some powder onto the screen and then, blow into the mic to reveal fingerprints.

The fingerprinting fun from the GS1 remake is back again.

Now there’s also the addition of taking footprints too which works very much the same way except you have to use a hair dryer to dry up the rubber. You can then make a comparison to find out who the fingerprints and footprints belong to which in turn, strengthens a piece of evidence against your culprit.

To find all these prints of course, you’ll need to be able to look at objects you pick up in detail. So yes, 3D objects are also back allowing you to zoom in and out as well as rotate them. These along with other mini games such as x-raying items are pretty fun to play and helps relieve you from all the text reading.

How to read letters without opening them…

GS2 introduced a new Psyche-Lock system where you could probe characters as if they were in court to find out what they’re hiding and you’ll find something new that’s a little more challenging. Odoroki has a special ability and he himself doesn’t know it until he meets his new partner who energetic 15 year old Minuki, a magician. Her name comes from the verb “minuku” which means “to see through” if you’re wondering.
