Among the sky pirates of Ivalice there was a legend of a floating continent in the distant skies that possessed great treasure. No one had ever stepped foot there before until Vaan and Penelo came across the Treasure of Glabados during their adventures. Taking place after the epic PS2 RPG "Final Fantasy XII", a new tale begins for our heroes.

Note that there is a secret ending to this game and to get it, you must clear all missions in the game so be sure to clear all the side missions on the board in each chapter if you want to have a chance of viewing it! Some of these side missions are hidden and won't be unlocked until you fulfil certain conditions. One of these conditions can only be fulfilled by synthesising lots of weapons aboard the ship so as easy as the game might be, once you gain access to this service at the end of chapter 3, be sure to start making weapons!
I have also not played the English version of Final Fantasy XII so do excuse the translations if the script doesn't portray the same kind of character as in the original PS2 game.

The party runs for their ship as the ruins crumble and gets away just in time.

"Vaan said, "We'll buy another one." He wasn't discouraged at all. The mystery behind the treasures were left unknown..."
"The adventure was just a dream. The skies of Lavanasta were so peaceful now. We returned to our normal ways of living."

There's a very rare ancient airship heading this way just now!
You know about it too right? The "Legend of the Floating Islands"?
Filo
"Far away in the distant skies exists a floating land that no one knows about..." You mean that legend?
Kytes
You don't mean that airship came from there, do you?!
Vaan
Lets go find out what this airship really is first.
Vaan and the others run off while Penelo looks disappointed. They watch as a huge black airship flew slowly across the skies of Rabanastre.
"I had a really bad feeling about it and my feeling was right."
"When I saw the way Vaan look at that ship, I was certain he was up to something..."

l Tutorial for attack types. There are 3 types of attacks. Vaan is a close combat type, Kytes is long range and Filo is an airborne type. Each type of unit has their strength and weaknesses. Remember them well in this battle.

We'll get rid of those thieves first then find out the mystery behind this ship.
It flew all by itself with no one on it. It must be a ghost airship right?
We're going to protect it until we find the owner!

Well, I do want to take a ride on that airship too!

But Penelo's going to be really mad...
Vaan
Don't worry, this is a secret. Penelo doesn't know.
Victory Condition:
Sneak onto the airship!
Fail Condition:
Any party member falling unconscious.
l Magic and Skill tutorial. To use Vaan's "Duel Attack" that he learned earlier, select him then tap the "Magic/Skills (まほう・わざ)" command. After selecting the move you wish to use, tap on the target. You will have to wait some time before you can use the same move again.
l Area attack tutorial. Use Kytes' Fiega magic to kill the group of monsters.
l "Gambit" tutorial. Filo's "Sonic Attack" move is also an area attack which damages enemies around her. You can set units to use magic or skills automatically by using the "Gambit (ガンビット)" system. The demo will show you how to do this. Be aware that only one move or skill can be assigned to each unit using this system.

Hey look! It's changed colours!
l Summoning Gate tutorial. Using these gates you can summon monsters but only when you occupy them and they are blue. When they are red, they are under the occupation of the enemy. The more people you have at a gate, the faster you'll occupy it. So, select all units and tap the gate.
Vaan
Looks like my treasure has some mysterious power in it.
It can summon monsters too.
Vaan tries it out and a monster pops out.

Wow, you summoned this, Vaan? This is so cool! Do it again!

Hmm... How did I do that again?
l Summoning tutorial. Tapping the gate directly will give you access to the "Summon" command. When you wish to summon, first you must select who will be the leader of the summons. The party member doesn't have to be near the gate. Now summon 3 monsters.

l "Free Talk" tutorial. You can walk around freely when aboard the airship and you can use the shop. Move Vaan around using the stylus and talk to people.

Yeah, he said, "This treasure is linked to "Eternity"

This airship isn't moving because of that treasure's power, is it?
Penelo

We might be able to find something out after we explore that island.

l Healing tutorial. There are various plants known as "Survival Spots" on the map. Move one of the party members over and their HP will be healed.

And because of that, part of this barrier was left open.

l World map tutorial. If you return to the ship you can change your equipment and talk with your party members. Areas which have cleared will become "Free Battle" areas. To move on with the story, go to the next mission flag. Go to the shrine.

It seems the pirates are after the Holy Stones.
Vaan

It is the "power" that has been granted to us by the very same God who created us Aegyls.
We can use them by using the Holy Stones to summon them from the Esper World.

The Grabados Treasure Vaan has belongs to this world?
Llyud
I feel it possesses a special power to it that other normal Holy Stones don't have but... Yes, it appears to be.
I don't know why it was found in the surface ruins...

Hey, the enemies we defeated dropped some Holy Stones.
Llyud
If you collect a lot of them you can make a pledge with a new esper.
Here is the "Licence Ring" you need to make a new pledge. You can have it.

l Battle preparation tutorial. Before entering battles, you can edit which team members and summons you wish to use. You can also view details of the enemy. You will have to face Titan without your espers after you open the white gate at the flag so, make sure members are healed first. You'll have help though once you lower his health a bit.
