Osawari Tantei (Touch Detective) has you playing as young Rina Ozawa (MacKenzie) who has just inherited her fathers detective agency. But in order to get recognition as a Touch Detective from the officials, Rina must first prove her skills in a number of cases in town.


An opening movie with a lot of jazz and touchy animal paws.
After a stylishly directed opening noir movie full of jazzy music, the game starts off with some light humour and a tutorial where you must find a way out of your own locked room. The butler, Jii (Cromwell) pretends hes been cursed and changed into a doll but Rina reacts sarcastically, obliviously not believing him. Nevertheless, the tutorial continues and you are offered optional help to get through the tutorial which doesnt take long to do.

Once youve finished with the tutorial, you are free to begin the first real case by using the phone where the light humour continues. The butler tells Rina shes guaranteed to get a case by using the phone and she replies by asking, Whys that? The butler answers its just the way of nature of things!

There are 4 main cases that make up the game and each split is split into two parts. As you may have guessed, these are not your everyday mysteries and youll find yourself trying to enter peoples dreams, tracing criminals who are trying to brainwash young girls and other mystical things you wouldnt expect in the real world unlike say, the murder cases in Phoenix Wright.
