Draw a face that can literally tell what card you picked.
I won’t tell you what the secret it behind the tricks is obviously but as with all magic tricks, it takes some time to perfect the act and that’s why after each trick, Magic Taizen asks if it was for practice or if it was an actual performance. Either option will reward you with points as mentioned earlier but by choosing performance, you’re awarded stars to help keep track of how many times you perform each trick.

One of the spookier looking number tricks, “Horror Numbers”.
Each trick in Magic Taizen is presented with its own theme using the appropriate BGM, art style and colour scheme. However, this doesn’t help boost the impressiveness of the tricks in the game. In general, they are very boring to play through although watching things you draw come to life or working tricks using the unique features of the DS can be a little amusing. I would stay away from this release unless you wanted to try using it to impress the kids. Save the money for a real magic show instead.

There’s lots of Japanese text that explain how to perform tricks but you just might be able to figure out to do go about them looking at the pictures. Some tricks you’ll really have to be able to understand Japanese to know what the magic is all about.
