Blow away the months of the year.
Only the one you picked remains.
Another trick is presented by a long bearded Yoga master who shows you several poses that you can choose to put your hand in. Afterwards, you flip through the pictures one after the other and once you see the pose that you chose earlier, you pose with your hand then continue flipping through the pictures. In the end, the Yoga master manages to guess what pose you chose. However, both this and the trick mentioned above are one of the few that doesn’t quite workout sometimes.

The old man can tell what pose your fingers are in… Well, sometimes.
Next up, we’ve got “Magic Attraction”. Unlike “Magic Alone”, the DS reveals how to go about performing the tricks this time because you’re expected to perform them to people. One of the simplest tricks first available to you involves passing your DS to someone then, letting him/her shuffle a number of virtual cards on the touch screen. These cards can either display place names or the months of a calendar. Once the one with the DS has picked out a card, they can read out the cards one by one and no matter how much they shuffle, you can always tell which card they picked. Pretty boring trick to perform but there are some more interesting ones.

I can tell what month you picked no matter how much you shuffle.
One of the earliest tricks you unlock involves cards and known as the “Crystal Card Fortune Teller”, you can make the DS display whatever card your participant picks without looking at it first. After trying the trick out on a few non-gamer classmates at university, they gave a knowing smile and wondered if my DS had sensors on it or something. Another much more obvious trick you unlock later called the “Mystery Hand” has you drawing a hand on the touch screen. Next, the participant picks one of the three objects on the screen and you can command the hand to go grab it.

This is one of the more impressive tricks.
Making your friend think the DS has a sensor!
Another similar trick that mixes both the two tricks I mentioned above together is the “Funny Face”. This trick was shown in one of the commercials on the Touch DS Japanese site and what happens is you have someone pick a card from the pack then place it face down onto the table. After that’s done, you draw a face on the touch screen and it will magically tell you which card the person picked.
