Imports Coming To Domestic PSN

This is something that’s probably not your area of expertise, but do you know if we will ever see any of the Japanese PlayStation 1 titles coming over here within the PlayStation Store? I know it’s not quite your area.

JH: I’m pretty darn sure they will, but I don’t know which titles.

Metal Gear Solid Re-Release Is For PS2

“Well I decided to set the record straight and get the word direct from Konami’s PR stud Andrew Kelly, who today confirmed for Game Almighty that Metal Gear Solid 1 will in fact be released on a Playstation 2 disc. No disc swapping. No more gray memory card. Other than those two improvements the port should be entirely transparent to the player, retaining the PS1’s visuals and gameplay mechanics.“

NES Final Fantasy VII

Yep, some crazy fool over in Japan is porting the entirety of Final Fantasy VII to the NES. This guy updates his blog regularly with shots of new areas he’s ported, so if you’re a rabid FFVII fan you’ll want to bookmark it. Otherwise just enjoy the video above and realize that some fanboys have entirely too much time on their hands. EDIT: It is a widely available Chinese cart, this guy is just taking screens.
