Segagaga

477341_44274_front.jpg
Set in the year 2025, the story depicts Sega with only a 3% share of the market. In Ota, Tokyo (where Sega was first set up in Japan 1951), the company forms Project Segagaga: a plan to save SEGA from its main competitor, the evil DOGMA (Which is clearly intended to be Sony, Sega’s biggest competitor at the time). As part of Project Segagaga, Sega takes two teenagers Tarō Sega (Sega Taro) (the player’s character) and Yayoi Haneda (Haneda Yayoi), and employ them to guide Sega to the top of the market. The game features cameo appearances from Sega characters past and present such as Alex Kidd and Sonic the Hedgehog. The game also references things associated with Sony’s PS1 and PS2. Several hidden games are parodies.

Bring Shenmue To XBOX Live Arcade Damnit

09.15.07

Two amazing Dreamcast originals, Rez and Ikaruga, were just announced for XBLA so why not continue along with this and start releasing all the Dreamcast classics? Unless the Wii gets an HD add-on peripheral there’s no way these titles would ever be available via the Virtual Console so XBLA or PSN seem like the best option for Sega.

And seeing recent developments it seems they’re siding as much as possible with Microsoft so why not slowly release the entire Saturn and Dreamcast library weekly just like Nintendo does with the VC? My Dreamcast just is loud and slow and I know the 360 would make the loading times for games like Shenmue and Shenmue II drop to near zero and that would definitely make them infinitely more playable and fun.

Recoup some of that $70 million spent on development and re-release this classic for the world to enjoy!

Just do it Sega!
