11.15.07
Sony is reporting via Yahoo that their week to week sales jumped from 30k-40k to a huge 100K in the week ending Nov. 11t 2007.
“Obviously, we’ve taken so much heat over the year on PS3,” Stringer said from his office in Tokyo. “Finally, the turning point has been passed.”
Stringer said Sony is poised to benefit from the difficulty Nintendo has had producing Wii consoles fast enough to keep up with demand.
“It’s a little fortuitous that the Wii is running out of hardware,” Stringer said.

I believe it. I wouldn’t be surprised if the PS3 regain second place from the 360. It’s the superior machine (graphically) and for the 2nd generation gamers that was there first exposure to gaming, so there’s the nostalgia factor. You can’t underestimate that factor, hell nintendo has built a success business model around it (so have square-enix). Now’s the time to buy some sony stock.
