Feel Up Dudes On The DS

11.14.07

I like this post!

In the latest Famitsu magazine we get a glimpse of the homo erotic gameplay within the DS game known as DUEL LOVE.

99.9% of Japanese adventure games are laced with scantily clad women who like to bend over so this move towards the gay side of the spectrum is something entirely new.

What’s hilarious, besides the fact that you get to caress a naked male chest, is that the few girls in the game look like guys. I guess this makes sense seeing as in most “straight” Japanese games the guys look like women for some reason. Go figure.

I guess the only real way to tell a girl from a guy is by how much clothing they’re wearing. Watch for an extremely uneventful and underwhelming launch of this game in early 2008 where it’s sure to only be released in Japan and will sell around 10K copies.

If you want to see Bandai’s straight version of this kind of molestation adventure genre check out Doki Doki Majo Saiban.

All you have to do is read the review from Wired and the comic from Penny Arcade to understand just how bad this game is.

  1. Japanese girls love this kind of games/comics, not really intended for an homosexual audience, unlike many people could think.

  2. Err, the characters you thought were girls, (i’m guessing the long haired one and the one wth big eyes) are girly GUYS, not girls who look like guys. Secondly, in this game you play a FEMALE. This game is 100% aimed at GIRLS. What is gay about a girl who wipes sweat of a guy’s body??

And even IF it was male x male, why does everyone and their dog assume the target audience is gays?! If it was game about two lesbians wiping the sweat off each other, everyone would assume it’s for guys!! That’s a double standard! In Japan, there is a genre of comic books about male x male relationships, and the fanbase is 95% female! The western superheroes comic books fandom has more female readers than the yaoi (malexmale) comic books have gay readers!!

Go read a Harlequin novel, they can be downright pornographic! Just because something is ‘erotic’ doesn’t mean it’s for guys, straight or gay!
