In this year’s Nintendo Corporate Management Briefing we get our first look at the Wii Shopping Channel Gift Function.
The report’s Engrish says it best really:
For the Wii Shopping Channel, which you can use to buy Virtual Console and WiiWare software, we will add a gift-giving function.
This is a function to purchase Virtual Console or WiiWare software and present it to your Wii Friend.

Oh and by the way:
It seems cool, but I can’t see myself ever using it. I’m too selfish and cheap.
