Valve’s Orange Box was released this morning, and I started playing Portal. Great game, by the way. I found a nifty Easter Egg right after I entered the office above the large toxic waste pit after finishing the final test. There are two flat panel monitors hanging above a desk in the room with yellow text scrolling by rapidly. Hidden in the garbage there’s what seems to be a recipe of some sort.
And the crazy part is that it was a recipe for a cake and the cake is actually in the game.
Definitely one of the most fun easter eggs in a game ever.

I’m no authority on recipes, but the Portal Cake recipe looks like 2 different recipes. One uses a cake mix and ends at the 4 large eggs. The other looks like it is from scratch, starting from 3/4 c butter or margarine, softened.
I’m guessing the 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips can be used in either recipe. By the looks of it, these go on the outside and cover the frosting. Also looks like a 2-tier cake.
However, they left out the cherries/strawberries. I think the other garnishes can be left out…

XD the real cake you made is made with strawberries, but the cake is called cherry chocolate cherry cake
or was it crazy cherry chocolate cake? someone want to confirm this?
